Did you guys test this before you released this? Im gathering all will be rectified in the next update. Sheesh. How long before you guys fix this all the glitches?

Tell me why on earth Smile UI folks thought it a good idea to change the keyboard size with the shift key. Just as our phones get a little bigger they make things smaller and unusable. My typing rate and accuracy plummeted. I wanted to write this review with the keyboard and show all the mistakes. But even that didnt work. I want my $4.99 back.

Latest update looks somewhat better but Im still using the default KB to type this. The touch points seem to work better and I prefer the magnify feature. Waiting for the next tweak.

The concept is good, however the need to re create their keys to make it work. They are too small and dont work very well. The price is too high for a keyboard that still needs so much work. Fix the issues and it will be the best keyboard.

Update: Typing is way better with update. Some issues still though. I couldnt write this review with the textexpander keyboard. Had to switch to default. Steps in the right direction though! The keyboard is not very accurate and Im finding the keys are too small. The autocorrect is non-existent or very inaccurate and there is no suggestive typing... The expanding works perfect with my shortcuts though. Not as functional as I was hoping. Ive already switched back to the default keyboard or SwiftKey.

I have just purchased TextExpander 3 + Custom Keyboard…..awesome totally awesome. All my snippets can be used on my new IPHONE 6+ with such great ease. This APP is a must have. Using the keyboard all the time to expand my ever growing list of snippets. These guys at SmileOnMyMac must use the product because it totally works….all the time. Amazed on how much time I am saving on my Iphone when writing and responding to emails etc. Thank you so much.

The spelling checker is horrible, far worse than Apples standard kybd. Stick to Drafts to use Textexpander.

seadog454 summed it up: "The spelling checker is horrible, far worse than Apples standard keyboard. Stick to Drafts to use Textexpander." Now from my POV, this is surprising as TextExpander is *superb" on all my other MacProducts, even a 2008 iMac running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

Sometimes this app works and often it doesnt even load. Ive switched to it from the main Apple keyboard and intermittently it wont even show up. Just nothing will there. I tap something else on the page that I know opens the keyboard but still nothing. I cant even switch back to the Apple keyboard. Seems really buggy, both on my iPad 3 and iPhone 5S both with iOS 8. And the Apple keyboard is way easier to use and type quickly on. Id love the just use the Textexpander one, but its slow, the keys are REALLY hard to hit, and often it doesnt even show up. Nice! I like the update a lot, nice to have textexpander in all my apps though. However, I also wish I could search through and easily move snippets. When you have a lot of snippets, finding one to make a small change to is frustrating without search. Please add pull-down search in the snippet list!

Useless update erased all my prior snippets - will take hours to retype - no way to restore. Might look for a better product

Very slow to use. The layout does not match the iOS standard keyboard so you will end up with a lot of typos. The idea is great. I have the OS X Mac version it is awesome. But the iOS experience is very bad. Autocorrect by iOS doesnt integrate with the TextExpander keyboard either. It needs a lot of improvement. Sad to see that they allow themselves to roll out a product like that, that is not up to their quality standards. Do your job guys. We paid for something usable. This app is not. Take it constructively and get back to us with something better. Best.

I can’t imagine using a Mac or iOS device without TextExpander. It’s core to everything I do, from drastically cutting the time I spend writing email to assisting in writing HTML & CSS to correcting my common typos, the list of things TextExpander makes faster/easier/better is as long as you want it to be.

The addition of iCloud syncing makes my life so much easier! Awesome update. Thanks again.

Just awesome. My only gripe is I wish he keyboard plugin was exactly the same layout/responsiveness as the standards iOS keyboard. The keys and spaces between keys on the iPhone 6+ just doesnt work.

Firstly fantastic. I was about to say that it wouldnt do fill in snippets, the keyboard wont, but when used in another TextExpander enhanced app it can.

The app freezes upon opening and wont work. Keyboard this doesnt recognize my snippets

The app works as advertised now. But as a tweak request it would be nice if the keys displayed what key you pressed more dramatically, like the Apple iOS keyboard.

About 1 in 5 times I open the keyboard I just get a grey box and Im unable to type or switch to a regular keyboard. The autocorrect is poor as well.

For better autocorrect open settings keyboard and settings again and allow full access. The problem is stability, sometimes the keyboard doesnt show up at all and I have to completely turn it on and off in system settings to get it back. Its issue with TE because I also have Swipe, same principle and it works fine.

Originally I gave this program one star as it was crashing a lot. But after giving it full access it seems or be working now. Reevaluating now. Looks good so far.
